UPDATE ON KYMANI COLLIER

Early this morning, the Elkhart County Homicide Unit was advised that Kymani Collier, 10, of Goshen, has died. The St. Joseph County Coroner confirmed that at approximately 4:15 a.m., on July 6, 2023, Kymani was declared deceased. Kymani had been participating in a free swim day at a public pool in Nappanee on July 4, 2023, in Stauffer Park. The Homicide Unit generally investigates child deaths in Elkhart County, and responded shortly after the initial call that Kymani had drowned at the pool.
