Chief Investigator Rich Brewton
Chief Investigator Rich Brewton is a 23 year veteran of the Elkhart Police Department. While there, he served as a member of Honor Guard for seven years, the K-9 unit for over seven years, and was a member of the department's Homicide Unit for 11 years. Chief Brewton joined the Elkhart County Office of Prosecuting Attorney in 2016.
Investigator Mark Daggy, Elkhart County Homicide Unit Commander
Investigator Mark Daggy graduated from Ball State University in 1991 with a degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology. Following graduation he served as a Juvenile Probation officer for St Joseph County for two years. Investigator Daggy graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 1994 and served with the Elkhart Police Department for 21 years. During his approximately 20 years as a detective, he served for ten years as a member of the Special Response Team (SRT), five years as an undercover detective, and six years as a homicide detective. He is also a Certified Voice Stress Analyst (CVSA). In 2015, Investigator Daggy joined the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney as the Major Crimes Liaison, including homicide investigations, throughout Elkhart County.
Investigator John Mohan, ICE Unit Commander
Investigator John Mohan began his law enforcement career in 1996 as a uniformed officer with the Elkhart Police Department. During his 20 years with the Elkhart Police Department, he served eight years with the Special Response Team, seven years as a Force-On-Force instructor, six years as an undercover officer with the Anti Crime Unit and the Elkhart County Drug Task Force, two years as a child molest and abuse investigator, and 10 years as a homicide detective. Investigator Mohan joined the Elkhart County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney in 2016.
Investigator Dave Floerchinger
Investigator Dave Floerchinger worked as a reserve for 12 years before starting as an IV-D investigator with the Elkhart County Prosecuting Attorneys Office in 2011. He became an Office Investigator in 2022.

IV-D Investigator Daniel Holt
IV-D Investigator Daniel Holt is a 23 year veteran of the Mishawaka Police Department where he served as a member of the Honor Guard, Field Training Officer, K9 Decoy and received Officer of the Year in 2011. He is also a United States Marine Core Veteran. Daniel Holt joined the Elkhart County Office of Prosecuting Attorney in 2022.
IV-D Investigator Steve Price
IV-D Investigator Steve Price is a 25-year veteran of the Elkhart Police Department. Prior to law enforcement, he was an investigator for Child Protective Services of Elkhart County. During his career at the Elkhart Police Department, he served as a department translator, a hostage negotiator with the Special Response Team for 17 years, 2 years undercover with the Anti-Crime Unit and Elkhart County Drug Task Force. Steve served 21 of his years with EPD’s Criminal Investigations Division as a juvenile detective, homicide detective, detective/sergeant, and CID captain. Steve Price joined the Elkhart County Office of Prosecuting Attorney in 2022.
