On Wednesday afternoon, a jury convicted Eduardo Deltoro of Possession of Methamphetamine over 28 Grams, Felon Carrying a Handgun, Operating Motor Vehicle Without Ever Receiving a License, and Failure to Stop After An Accident.

On August 12, 2015, Deltoro was involved in a single car accident when he then fled the scene carrying a 9mm handgun and approximately 50 grams of methamphetamine. When Deltoro saw Goshen Police closing in on him, he stashed the handgun and methamphetamine in two different locations. With the help of K9 officers, Goshen Police were able track Deltoro’s path and recover both the gun and drugs. A digital scale was also discovered in car that Deltoro fled, which officers testified are often used in the drug trade. Deltoro now faces a maximum sentence of 20 years.

Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Patrick Dowd represented the State in the prosecution of this case.
